Key Final Cut Concepts:

1. Convert media to format compatible with editing; .mov
2. Make sure media resides on Workspace before editing or importing it.
3. Everything is Keyframe-able, either in motion tab, effects tab, or in the case of audio levels or transparency, in the timeline.
4. "J" "K" "L"- move backwards and forwards through clips and timeline.
5. "N" turns snapping on and off.
6. "I" "O" to mark in and out points in viewer before dragging to timeline.
